Reuben Kimani is an award winning Enterprenuer, an accomplished engineer and a distinguished ICT professional.
He is the immediate former Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder at Username Properties Limited. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Reuben was a management engineer with Safaricom PLC. He has previously worked in Kenya Revenue Authority amongst other organizations.
He has experience spanning over 15 years in diverse work areas, ranging from business strategy, leadership, telecommunications, audit, human resources, information communication and technology.
Reuben holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Technology (First Class Honors) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Oracle Database Systems, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a graduate of Strathmore Business School having completed the Owner Manager Program (OMP).
Reuben has also been a receipient of many awards such as, The 2019 African Business Personality at the Voice Achievers Award organized in Netherlands, the coveted, Enterprenuer of the Year 2018 award, Lifetime Achievement award in Real Estate and recently, the Changemakers award by Tuko Media for the efforts and contribution towards Education sponsorship in Kenya among many others awards.
He is a strong advocate for mentorship in the area of education, financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, with the belief that these factors will be the driver of exponential growth in our economies and societies.
As Chairman of the Board of Directors at Username SACCO, Reuben provides strategic leadership and guidance in driving the vision of building a brighter financial future for members. With a wealth of experience in leadership and business, he is committed to ensuring sound governance, sustainable growth, and innovative financial solutions that meet members' needs.

Joseph Gitonga serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Username SACCO, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight to ensure sound governance and sustainable growth. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Professional Certificate in CCNA. He is also an alumnus of Strathmore University’s Owner Manager Programme, where he earned an Entrepreneur’s Certificate, and has further enhanced his expertise through various senior leadership and management courses.
With over 15 years of extensive experience spanning mortgage finance, banking, real estate, sales, and marketing, Joseph brings a wealth of knowledge that has been instrumental in shaping Username SACCO’s strategic direction. Since 2013, he served as Director in charge of Sales and Marketing at Username Properties, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the business from a startup into a leading real estate powerhouse by providing visionary leadership in sales and marketing.
Prior to joining Username Properties, Joseph worked with leading financial institutions, including KCB and HFC, where he gained invaluable experience in banking, the property sector, mortgage financing, and project finance. Joseph’s unwavering commitment, deep industry expertise, and leadership acumen continue to drive Username SACCO’s mission of delivering innovative and sustainable financial solutions to its members, while fostering trust, growth, and long-term value creation.

As Treasurer of Username Sacco, Julius is responsible for safeguarding the Sacco’s finances, driving fiscal strategy, and ensuring transparency in line with its vision, mission and long-term goals.
He brings over 15 years cumulative experience across Real Estate, ICT, and Finance, complemented by a strong background in corporate customer experience and operations. This blend of expertise enables him to pair financial discipline with a deep focus on members’ value.
Julius also serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Username Properties, where he contributes to strategic decision-making and corporate governance.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from JKUAT, a Postgraduate Certificate in the Owner-Manager Program from Strathmore Business School, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at Strathmore.
With his proven track record and strategic insight, Julius plays a key role in driving sustainable growth, accountability, and long-term value for Username Sacco members.
Wanjohi Gichango

Wanjohi Gichango is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and serves as the Hon. Secretary of the Board of Directors at Username SACCO. With 13 years of post-admission experience, he brings a wealth of legal expertise and governance skills that enhance the SACCO’s leadership and operations.
Mr. Gichango holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Moi University (2009), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2011), and is a Certified Public Secretary (CPS-K). He was admitted to the bar in 2011 and has since established himself as a respected legal practitioner with broad knowledge in corporate governance, compliance, and organizational structures.
In his role as Hon. Secretary, Mr. Gichango is responsible for maintaining board records, facilitating effective communication within the Board of Directors, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. His professional background and dedication provide a strong governance framework that supports the SACCO’s mission of building a brighter financial future for its members.
